Omega Medical Training provides specialist medical training to a range of businesses and organisations. We provide bespoke courses to meet the needs of each client, and the potential emergency situations that could occur in their particular workplace.

Our instructors are highly-qualified practitioners, with backgrounds in frontline pre-hospital medicine and all aspects of patient care. This knowledge, along with up-to-date teaching methods, equipment, and their huge wealth of situational experience, ensures that clients not only qualify, but leave competent and confident in dealing with an emergency situation

  • First Aid at Work
    The Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981 require all employers to make arrangements toensure their employees receive immediate attention if they are injured or taken ill at work. This nationally recognised qualification provides learners with the opportunity to develop the basic skills and knowledge needed to deal with a range of first aid situations in the workplace.
  • Emergency First Aid

This nationally recognised qualification provides learners with the opportunity to develop the basic skills and knowledge needed to deal with a range of emergency first aid situations.
  • Emergency Paediatric First Aid
    This regulated and nationally recognised qualification provides learners with the opportunity to develop the basic skills and knowledge needed to deal with a range of emergency paediatric first aid situations which could arise when looking after children.
  • Paediatric First Aid
    This regulated and nationally recognised qualification provides Learners with the opportunity to develop the skills and knowledge needed to deal with a range of paediatric first aid situations, illnesses, injuries and emergencies which can arise when looking after children. The QA Level 3 Award in Paediatric First Aid (RQF) has been specifically designed to meet the criteria set by the Department for Education’s EYFS Framework and is ideal for those who have gained a level 2 and/or level 3 childcare qualification and have entered into an early years setting and wish to be included in the staff to child ratios to comply with EYFS requirements. Registered childminders and assistants who are required to hold a current and full paediatric first aid certificate in order to comply with the EYFS requirements. Anyone who has a non-professional involvement with infants and children, such as parents, grandparents and want to learn key paediatric first aid skills.
  • Basic Life Support and Safe Use of an AED
    This regulated and nationally recognised qualification provides Learners with the opportunity to develop their skilland knowledge in basic life support and Automated External Defibrillator (AED) usage in emergency situations. The QA Level 2 Award in Basic Life Support and Safe Use of an Automated External Defibrillator (QCF) qualification has been designed for those who have a specific interest or responsibility at work, or in voluntary and community activities to provide BLS when dealing with an emergency situation which may involve using an AED.
  • Activity First Aid
    This regulated and nationally recognised qualification provides Learners with the skills and knowledge needed to deal with a range of emergency first aid situations that can arise in both adults and children whilst taking part in outdoor or activity based environments. The QA Level 2 Award in Activity First Aid (QCF) qualification has been specifically designed for those who have a responsibility at work, or in voluntary and community activities, to provide first aid when dealing with an emergency situation whilst undertaking activities, such as sports, swimming, hiking, rock climbing etc.
  • First Aid at Work Annual Refresher
    HSE guidelines state that employers should ensure their first aiders remain competent to perform their role. As such, it is strongly recommended that first aiders undertake annual refresher training to practise their skills and update their knowledge on the latest first aid procedures. The First Aid at Work Annual Refresher (QAR) qualification is specifically designed to allow qualified first aiders to update their first aid skills yearly, until requalification training is required.
  • Emergency First Aid for Dentists
    This is a bespoke course tailored especially for dentists and dental nurses. Omega Medical has on its team a Dentist who has extensive pre-hospital care experience and Learners will qualify for a level 2 Emergency First Aid Certificate as well as an in-house certification of attendance. This course has been developed by Dentists for Dentists and Dental Technicians.
  • Forestry First Aid
    This Qualsafe Awards Recognised qualification has been designed to provide Learners with the knowledge and skills needed to deal with emergency first aid situations in a forestry/agricultural context. ​The Forestry First Aid +F (QAR) qualification is ideal for those that work or intend to work in a forestry, agricultural or remote environment, such as tree surgeons and farmers.
  • Level 2 Award in First Aid Essentials
    Ideal for those who are able to access CQC (Care Quality Commission) funding, this regulated and nationally recognised qualification enables Learners to gain the skills and knowledge needed to administer safe, prompt, effective first aid in situations which can arise when providing care. Designed to encompass the QA Level 2 Award in Emergency First Aid at Work (QCF) as well as additional assessment criteria on Accident Reporting, Learners who successfully complete this qualification will gain two regulated qualifications.
  • Level 3 Award in Administering Emergency Oxygen
    This regulated and nationally recognised qualification provides Learners with the skills and knowlege needed to safely administer medical oxygen in an emergency. The QA Level 3 Award in Administering Emergency Oxygen (RQF) has been specifically designed for those who have a responsibility for the treatment and/or management of casualties who need administration of emergency medical oxygen.This qualification is suitable for first aiders operating in a high risk environment, community first responders, cabin/film crew, fire, police and other emergency services personnel.
  • Level 2 Award in Basic Life Support for Adults and Children
    This regulated and nationally recognised qualification provides Learners with the necessary skills and knowledge needed to deal with an adult or child who requires basic life support in an emergency situation. The QA Level 2 Award in Basic Life Support for Adults and Children (QCF) qualification has been designed for those who have a specific responsibility at work, or in voluntary and community activities to provide basic life support for adults and children. It is also ideal for those who are qualified in providing first aid and are looking to refresh or develop their existing first aid knowledge and skills further.
  • QA Level 2 Award in Citizen AID
    The QA Level 2 Award in citizen AID (RQF) is a regulated qualification designed to teach members of the public life-saving skills for use in the event of a deliberate multiple casualty incident. Based on the citizenAID Pocket Guide and Phone App, this 3 hour qualification will teach Learners how to react safely, pass on effective messages to the emergency services, prioritise the injured and give life-saving first aid in these extreme situations.
  • Administering Emergency Medical Gases
    This regulated and nationally recognised prehospital care qualification provides Learners with the knowledge, skills and understanding to deal with emergency care in a prehospital environment where delivery of medical gases may be required.The QA Level 3 Award in Administering Emergency Medical Gases (RQF) has been specifically designed for those who have a responsibility for providing treatment to patients who need medical gases administrating in prehospital care environments, such as: those working in the police force, fire service or private ambulance sector.
